ok the book im gonna talk about is drumroll please
The Zombie Survival Guide
it is an incredible NON-fiction (or at least written that way) book about zombies and the ways to fight them off and survive an onslaught
ok so it tells the multiple ways of becoming a zombie
it tells their strengths and weaknesses
the most effective weapons to use against them (no grenades dont work well)
the stages of a zomvie attack considering severity and their numbers
how to fight in the different terrains against them (mountains are good)
AND
historically recorded appearances of zombies (just in case you dont believe in them)
as well as scaring the crap out of 10 yr olds (trust me i know from experience)
so on the scale of banana (1) to christmas tree (10)

Dumbed Down

our christain society has really "nicened-up" the Bible my dad (yes shelley who is a pastor) and i were talking about it yesterday and how many churches dont show the "darker side" of the Bible have you heard the story of Tamat wow that is serious nc-17 material my dad gave a synopsis at church because he was talking about geneaology and the story was so evil and sexually immoral Also the two angels went to Lots house in the Old Testament and he lets them in that night the entire town comes and asks if they can rape the two men both of those are in the Bible look it up then at school we cant wear sweatshirts with Bible verses because something from the BIBLE!!!! might be immoral so were not allowed to demonstrate God's Word at a CHRISTIAN school because it COULD be immoral even if it is do you think God stuck it in there for some demented guy to read about NO of course not everything down to the last the is in the Bible for a reason so to dumb it down and change it so we dont actually understand our world is pretty freakin STUPID youre teachin parts of the Bible parts you want people to hear not everything in it just think about that do you want a religious society where your religion is "nicende-up" and you cant quote from it?
oh and anyone who agrees with dumbing it down will make my hit list

thank god (and idina menzel and james barbour and kristen chenoweth) exams are finally over!!!!!! hallellujah praise the lord i made it out of my french exam by the skin of my teeth (not my math exam tho haha i got a 101) i had almost all a's stupid social studies and l.a. i hate those subjects anyway and i got a 93 on my latin exam cuz i dint see the decling servus at the very bottom of the page!!!!! but im ok

i went to see Beowulf today three things to know
1. its animated if any of you know what Assasin's Creed looks like, its something like that VERY realistic
2. its slightly immoral cough Angelina Jolie cough cough
3. if it wasnt animated some of the scenes would be very disturbing like when the guy gets ripped in half or when Beowulf chops off his arm so he can swing further into the dragon's throat to rip out its heart

overall it was a three and a half star in my opinion

i have 2 major tests this week and one is in french and btw Mrs. Flowers gives the hardest tests on the face if the earth they are longer than mr ross' 70 question tests and the vocabulary doesnt get a word bank either there r sentences and u hav 2 no the vocab by heart but speakin of mr ross we hav 1 of his tests too and to top it off we have wrap testing and a latin quiz/test/lawn mower

is it just me or are people starting to put a lot of pressure on you making life almost like a hellish warzone in your mind first of all we are all going through adolescence and starting to notice people of the opposite gender and i dont know about you but i get harrassed a lot about girls by my parents and their friends second they teach us all of this crap and start to load it on to us ninety percent of which we dont even give a crap about or will in our future and now they decide to make us leaders of the ms and say we have to set a flippin good example for every little sixth grader that steps in the doors. to top it off they start showing us what we have to do to actually do something with our lives and how it is rlly rlly hard to do u hav to be in the top thirty percent of the class and be good at math just to make it to honors bioall so we dont end up as some godforsaken bum on the street i think there could be an easier way AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Philosophy

I LOVE JR now that i have your attention my dad has majorly screwed me up he has a major in visual rhetoric which is distinctly related to philosophy but not like 2 peas in a pod kinda thing so hes a bit of a philosopher and now hes making me one. i was walking home from soccer practice 2night and for some reason i was thinking abt the guiness book of world records and if they have a smartest man in the world in it and then i start thinkin what is intelligence in a worldly view i thought about it 4 a minute and i decided that my definition of intelligence as i have seen it is: an accumulation of scientifically accredited facts that are linked into one system such as the brain. a lot of ppl think of smart ppl and think of he nos a lot thats my point exactly but what about the ability to think not the ability to memorize which is y in my opinion mathmeticians astronomers biologists most other scientists with the exception of scientists who examine diseases and ones who study what is already there and dont look for something to come as well as philosophers

vampires

my sister is reading this book about vampires (no its not satanic) and i said ooh i like that kinda book and she says no its a romance novel i was confused about this and she said that there were "good" vampires? What the heck!! vampires are like the archetype of hell!!!!!! they cant be good read dracula for god's sake the vampires have no control over their humanity. a girl a rlly nice girl turns into a vampire and she drags small children into her tomb to feast upon That is a vampire not some romantic poser!!!!!!!!

Haircut

ok so 2day is haircut day and if i havnt told all yall my mom cant drive cuz of some ticket here in 1900. So she makes us walk 2.8 miles to get to the barber shop!! she makes me carry my soccer bag in case we dont finish in enuf time to get back to the house so this creepy old guy dus my hair and drops the brush on me 2 times when hes done he asks me if i ever style my hair back i think and im like no do u think im queer or sumin and he says ok but if you evr d want 2 (which i dont) and he explains how perfect my colic is 4 it

My Music: Likes and Dislikes

i am a major fan of Alternative rock and New rock music
my fav bands are The Muse Matchbox 20 Linkin Park Evanescence
the Muse rules because the music is well played. they have won some 25-30 awards in the last 8 yrs 5 this year they r crazy good in the uk. I would like to see you TRY to sing Supermassive Black Hole in the same voice. Their singer is gifted with a voice like no other that makes an Alternative song almost beautiful (almost its rock duh)
Matchbox 20 is another of my favs because they play harder alternative rock just like linkin park they both have really popular songs out right now How farwe'ev com from Matchbox 20 and Bleed it out and What I've done from Linkin Park
Some1 might think this is mainstream, but even if it was it would be GREAT mainstream.

Latin Project

Hey Mr. Warner agve the latin class projects to do that are due friday my group is doing theirs on roman clothes which means, i get a toga! jk boo we are gonna do a fashion runway type thing and im in the emperor's garb so i get to announce. Nothing to do

i am pumped because i have no obligation these next two weeks(except for soccer practice and halloween parties) but do they really count? i am thrilled to have nothing to do although no play does bum me out a bit

France

2 years ago this spring, i went to live in Agons-Couteanville in France for about 3 months (if you've never heard of it look it up on Google Earth, i lived in the big white building by the track) and went to school there as part of an "immersion" program set up by my french teacher. it was pretty much a blast (except for the place we stayed in *shudders*). I'm going to try and post some pictures, but i honestly believe i have the crappiest computer on the planet. its a three year old ibook with a partially broken screen and a battery that dies in about and hour :( Pictur is of all of our friends in France

Hey I'm Evan. I'm in eight grade. I love to act and play soccer. I hope to go to Duke and get a medical degree and become a surgeon. I was Colin Craven in The Secret Garden a couple of weeks ago. I play Goalkeeper and Left Midfielder for my Charlotte United Footbol Club team. Over the summer i got into Cross Country and run with my parents occasionally. I also enjoy to rock climb at the White Water Center near Charlotte. I am normally a straight A student, but my French class is in the high school this year so its been trying.
